For 19 years Tamar Gold has practiced as a licensed psychotherapist and has worked for several hospitals, mental health agencies, private practices in New York, NY and Miami, FL.
Gold's psychotherapy experience includes helping adults suffering from depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, unresolved grief, body image conflicts, sexual abuse, domestic violence, illness, chronic pain, and addiction. She has also worked extensively with couples, families and children.
She received her MSW in 1994 and went on to a three year post graduate training in Gestalt Psychotherapy. She spent a year studying family therapy at the Ackerman Institute in NYC and was trained in play therapy at Spence Chapin Agency in NYC. She had several other trainings at the Jewish Board of family and Child therapy where she worked in NYC.
Gold began practicing Usui Reiki in 2001 and in 2008 became a Reiki Master. In 2009 Tamar became a licensed Florida massage therapist and received her training at Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami, FL where she studied a variety of massage and bodywork modalities.
In 2016 Gold returned to New York full time and continues to focus her practice on healing.
